Can’t close modal popup on mobile device (iPhone 6 w/ ios 11 anyway)

The modal doesn’t have a close button, but it can be closed if you click/touch outside the modal.

Thanks for the prompt reply George. I am aware of that but unfortunately that doesn’t work on my phone (iphone 6 w/ ios 11). I tried over & over again.

@macmike78: I don’t have an iOS device to test, but I recommend to try the next solution.

Open /wp-content/plugins/wp-maintenance-mode/assets/js/scripts.js and change this:

$('body').on('click', '.contact', function(e) {

With this:

$('body').on('click touchstart', '.contact', function(e) {

After you edit the file make sure your mobile browser loads the edited file.

Cleared the browser cache after making the edit and unfortunately it still doesn’t close. ??

@macmike78: sorry to hear that. unfortunately… I don’t have an iOS device (just Android) to test and debug.

Anyway, I’m gonna put the issue on my to do list and I’ll try to find a way to solve it. But I can’t give you an ETA.

Later edit: iOS 11 with Safari or Chrome?

@macmike78: actually… I’ve managed to test on iOS and found a similar solution (cursor: pointer or just an empty onClick parameter on that element):
