    Hi Ashley,

    We’re trying to use your (awesome) plugin together with a Yoast feature that allows one to customize the share information including adding a custom image. Unless I’m missing something, it looks like your plugin doesn’t pull from the header meta tags?
    ex. <meta name=”twitter:description” content=”some custom text”>
    Is this an option somewhere that I’m just missing?

    Thanks in advance,
    J

    Hi J ??

    Using Twitter as an example, the meta tags would be used for the Twitter card that is rendered in Twitter after sharing a URL. It doesn’t become the text used alongside the URL that gets shared. So in Twitter it would look like:

    {share text from Naked Social Share here} {URL to post here}
    {Twitter card rendered by Twitter here, that uses image/description from meta tags}

    So they’re two different pieces.

    If you want to change the share text there are filters for that:

    naked_social_share_twitter_text – Twitter share text
    naked_social_share_facebook_text – Facebook share text
    naked_social_share_stumbleupon_text – StumbleUpon share text
    naked_social_share_linkedin_text – LinkedIn share text

    By default it’s always the post title.

    Ah. Got it. So Twitter PULLS the meta info from the page being linked to. Makes sense.

    Thanks for the response.
