stop email field capitalizing the address

    hi cant find any info on how to stop capitalization of email addresses in contact form 7. This is the first time ive ever come across this problem, not sure what to do…? Need to ensure they are lowercase.

    Try switching to the default theme.

    this topic is not ‘resolved’!! i cant switch it to the default theme! this site took many many hours by some other web designer to put together and I have since helped with styling and hacks – I need a realistic solution please…

    i just updated another clients contact form 7 and cannot type into any of the required fields now!!! found a forum on the subject and you gave the exact same response – “Try switching to the default theme”!! I will prob find the answer to that error but please help me with this one…

    sorry about last message – i fixed the problem and none of the posted fixes worked and I have no idea why the form was strange – with un-type-in-able fields, there were no missing divs, no code change yet the page broke after wordpress upadate and contact form 7 update.

    “Try switching to the default theme.”??? NO, try adding the following to your style sheet instead- anyone else with the same problem:

    /*–contact form 7–*/
    input[type=”text”],
    input[type=”email”],
    textarea
    {text-transform:lowercase !important;}
