  • Hi,

We are not sure why the plugin is no longer listed. We suggest speaking with your host provider for more information. There may have been a setting that was configured which resulted in the issue. You may also wish to check the server logs for any errors as well. Your host provider can help with that.

Know that the “destination folder already exists” issue occurs when the plugin already exists in the destination folder (/wp-content/plugins/). In this case, you’ll need to perform the plugin installation manually instead of installing it from the admin area. Please refer to this guide here: https://kb.yoast.com/kb/how-can-i-update-my-free-plugin/#manual which shows exactly how to go about doing this.

When you upload manually you are not expected to lose your SEO data or settings.

Same problem here. Suddenly plugin is gone and I’m unable to reinstall (folder exists). Any ideas? Does anyone QA these things or are we the guinea pigs??

on my FTP folder there are following files/folders deleted:

    /admin/
    /css/
    /js/
    /languages/
    index.php
    wpml-config.xml

@stabilifywp @marksi-1 The plugin files are saved in your server which means that if files/folders get deleted, it could be triggered by something that has access to the server.

Anyway, you may just install the plugin again via FTP as suggested above. Please refer to this guide here: https://kb.yoast.com/kb/how-can-i-update-my-free-plugin/#manual

The Yoast settings are saved in your database so you will not lose any data even if the plugin is reinstalled.
