    Hi there,

I’m interested in your plugin. I have installed it successfully and am looking forward to seeing where it goes. At the moment it is unfortunately not suitable for our needs as there is no half day leave entitlement or the ability to have a manager approve leave. Could you confirm if these will be added in as time goes by? If so, I may revisit.

    Many thanks,

    Solomon

    Hi Solomon,

Thank you for your interest in the plugin.

You can approve leave – see https://www.wphrmanager.com/docs/wp-hr-manager/3-0-leave-management-module/3-4-managing-requests/

You are right about the half days – it’s a good idea and I’ll take a look at it. Don’t know if I can implement immediately, but I’ll let you know.

Just to update you – this should be implemented in our next update which is imminent.

Thanks for that. Is it possible to delegate authorisations to specific users, or is it role based only? I don’t want other managers being able to approve different teams leave.

    Many thanks

    Hello,

Is there any news in regards to the half day leave? i’m struggling to find something that offers that functionality and it would be a great addition.

Sorry i’ve seen this is implemented now but it doesn’t deduct the correct hours from a policy.

For example an employee puts in 4 hours leave it will then deduct a full day from their available days not 4 hours.

    Hi Scott

Not sure where you are looking – in the Leave Entitlements screen you should see the time available in 15 minute intervals ( ie “5 days, 4 hours, 45 minutes”)?

    Dear fujikuraeurope

Sorry – missed your query – It’s role based at the moment so all HR Managers can authorize any employees leave.

    Hi Paul.

So basically once an employee submits a leave request for example 13:00 – 17:00 which is 4 hours and it’s approved, WPHR doesn’t deduct 4 hours for the employees total days leave entitlement for the year, it deducts 1 full day instead.

    I’ve taken some screenshots of what i mean;
    – So we have a policy setup which is 20 days for the year.
    – An employee has submitted their leave as 3 half days which is a total of 4 hours each day which would result in 12 hours leave; https://prntscr.com/j1lsoh
    – On WPHR it’ll deduct 1 full day for each day taken and not 12 hours; https://prntscr.com/j1lu2b

Hope that clarifies what i mean.

    Hi Scott

this has taken a bit of looking into but we have checked the plugin and found that we thing the problem is related to the “Location Selection” of the particular employee.
If location is not set in employee profile, the plugin cannot count the working hours and causes the error.

After selecting location, the same thing works perfectly in our tests.

Here are some screenshots which will help you figure-out the problem.

    Hi Wphrmanager,

We have a query, i interested your plugins, but in this have problem, suppose we have created department seo and it and create role for SEO manager and IT manager. Now create employee suppose mohit and tarun reporting to SEO manager and santosh and arvind reporting to IT manager. If mohit create a leave then it can only approved or reject SEO manager not IT manager and not show seo employee of IT manager.

    Can we do that?

    Hi Sudhirguliya,

Setting someone as a line manager does not give them any power to approve leave.

Leave can only be approved by Admins and Users who are given the Role of ‘HR Manager’ (which you can set in their WordPress profile or in their Employee Profile).

Anyone who has the Admin or HR Manager role will receive notification of leave applications and can approve leave.

    Paul
