  • Hi,

Where are you seeing this message?

In the front-end, when a user edits the event from another user.

    Hello,

If possible, please try recreating the user account that is giving you trouble and see if the issue alleviates itself.

I created a new wordpress installation and events manager with Wamp.
I have a try and I have the same problem. Modified event is pending approval but the user receives the error message “You do not have permission to publish events”.
User do not have permission to publish events but they are allowed to edit others events.

Are the events the user is editing events that are already published?

Can you post a screenshot of the user capabilities panel for that user level?

I can not check “publish events” for contributor because I want the event to be awaiting approval.

It sounds like the problem is you’re trying allow users who don’t have permission to publish to edit a published event, which requires the same level of permissions.

If you don’t want to give that user level publish_events capabilities a workaround might be to set the event to draft status.
