    Hi,

I’m getting paypal’s error 10486 from the woocommerce system.
It happened two times today. Is it possible two different people to have put wrong address or funding source?
How can I redirect the buyer back to paypal?

    Hi @papgeo,

That error means that the funding method chosen by the user was invalid, so it should have redirected them back to PayPal to choose a different funding method.

I’m assuming you received that error notification in your email from the admin error notification setting..??

It’s possible that user could have gone ahead and chosen a different funding method that worked, or they could have canceled at that point.
Well, You can simply email them to clear their dues to process the purchase, because we have a setting in Paypal Express checkout for Abandoned checkouts > https://prntscr.com/h3ju3k. If you will enable this then those orders will be created but will put on hold.
Please check those and let me know if you still need any help.
    Thanks!

*Yes, I received from the admin.

I just noticed that when I’m going to make a payment, it doesn’t give me the option “Pay with Debit or Credit Card”.

After hours of searching on the internet, I found that I need to set SolutionType=Sole but can’t find where exactly.

The problem appeared after the last updates of WooCommerce and Paypal for WooCommerce, because I deleted the new files via FTP and uploaded the previous versions and now after Checkout it redirects me to pay as before (via Credit or Debit / or Paypal). However, I know that this is a temporary solution.

    I’m waiting for your response.

    Thanks in advance,
    George

@papgeo, you’re splitting off into two separate issues here.

10486 means the buyer’s funding source was simply not sufficient to cover the payment. For example, they could have chosen a credit card to use as the funding source, but this card was maxed out, reached a daily limit, or something like that.

For the Guest Checkout (ability to pay with a card without signing in) you just need to follow the steps outlined here: https://www.angelleye.com/support/kb/faq.php?id=1

With those settings configured accordingly then the API request will use the SOLUTIONTYPE=Sole as well as the other parameters that would be necessary for this.

    Hi @angelleye,

The issue splitted because of what I noticed through searching what’s going on and trying from my computer to make a payment.

At first this error came from the admin error notification setting.

You’re right, now the Guest Checkout is enabled, as before.

Today, a purchase been made successfully.

I will update again WooCommerce and your plugin and set the above steps and I will let you know if everything is ok.

    Thanks for your help.

I just updated the two pluging (WooCommerce and Paypal for WooCommerce) and all working fine!

The only thing I noticed is that when I cancel and click on ‘Cancel and return to “Website”‘ it redirects me to the About Page of my website.

Sorry for splitting the topic in many issues ??

Please check in PayPal For WOO settings for cancel URL and set the cancel page accordingly.
    Thanks!
