    Hello,

Yoast SEO doesn’t work on my static homepage.
When I change the page name or enter a meta tag and I save the page, all the content on my homepage is lost.
I can edit all the other pages perfectly fine, so I don’t know what’s going wrong.
I’ve contacted the support team of my theme (Astrid) but they haven’t encountered any problems. They’ve advised me to turn of all my plugins except for Yoast, but this didn’t work either.
Does anybody have an idea of what might be going wrong? By the way, I’m using a child theme.

    Kind regards,
    Myoken

  • Hi @myodepo,

Can you please make sure you’re running the latest version of WordPress 4.8.3, Yoast SEO 5.7.1 and your theme?

If you are already up-to-date, please check whether there are any Javascript errors in your browser’s console when you try to update your homepage after making changes.

Additionally, you may want to check your server’s log for related errors. If you don’t know where to check, or do not have the privileges to check the error log, please contact your web hosting provider. They’ll be able to provide the related error.
