How to install woocommerce on localhost?

Hi all,

I’m newer using wordpress, I’ve download the version 4.8 and I’ve installed it on localhost.
But I’m insterted to have the woocomerce version (like a online shop verion with products, prices, skus and cart etc)
1- How can I have this kind of template(woocomerce) to install on localhost?
2- Are the wordpress and woocommerce two different things?
3- There exist tutorials to develop custom extension?
4- For extension developed they work for all version or wich version are compatible and which not?
