Incoming links problem

  • Hello,

    I’m having problems with incoming links. Some blogs have a link to mine in a sidebar; and whenever they post on any subject, I get an “incoming link”, even though the post doesn’t mention me.

    Any thoughts?

  • Google found a link to your site on the page of the new post that the person made. It isn’t anything bad and there is really nothing you can do about it other then asking the webmaster to remove your link from their sidebar.

    Sometimes Google will notify you of links to your site that show up in sidebars while other times it doesn’t.

    Thanks for the answer. But of course this renders the incoming links feature useless.

    I am currently working to resolve a blocked site. I am in China. The incoming link may the source of content- any chance you found another way to remove the link other than contacting the blog owner of the source content?
