site breaks – issue of wp 4.7.7 (4.8.3) new esc_sql() behaviour?

My site also breaks after duplicating: all plugin options are lost.

It seems to be an issue caused by the wordpress update 4.7.7:
with 4.7.6 everything was ok, after wp update 4.7.7 the problem occurs.
I used duplicator 1.2.26. Going back to 1.2.24 didn’t solve the problem.

But duplicator 1.2.24 definitly worked formerly, I’m using it weekly (with wp 4.7.6.)

I guess, it’s an issue caused by the new esc_sql() behaviour, which was also changed in release wp 4.8.2 -> 4.8.3:

“This release includes a change in behaviour for the esc_sql() function. Most developers will not be affected by this change, you can read more details in the developer note.”
