    Hi,

I’ve been using the “Custom Automated Emails” without an issue for all my content in French (original language of my website).

However, I just created new events in Spanish. I created a different category and everything worked perfectly, until I tested. The emails I (+ the attendees) receive are STILL in French (they’re the default version). I also tried Disabling all emails (thinking I could send out manual confirmation emails if needed) but the emails in French still get sent out.

I cannot simply modify the default emails because I have multiple events in French running at the same time as my Spanish events.

It might be important to note that we do have installed “WPML” and “Events Manager and WPML Compatibility” – however I translated manually my registration form, and created the event the same way I would an event in the native language (except I used language = Spanish and created a category for that language).

Please, any help would be really appreciated.

    Annie

  • Hello,

Custom Booking Email Templates can be edited on a per-event basis. In other words, the idea is to translate events and then add the appropriate custom booking form template to the translated event.

    Hi Jordan,

Thanks for your reply. Yes, this is exactly what I tried doing. I created the event in Spanish, and in that very event, under “Custom Automated Emails” I tried putting the information in Spanish. But it’s not working, users receive the default French content.

    How is it possible?

    Thanks for your help!

    hi,

sorry about that, can I know what is your current EM? if possible, you can try to use the latest EM Dev versions 5.7.3.4

to upgrade to Dev versions, you can go to Events > Settings > General > Admin Tools

    Hi Angelo!

    Thanks for the reply.

I’m weary about switching versions if the Dev version isn’t stable, as I’m quite a newbie and I won’t be able to trouble-shoot if the new version crashes my site (is that even possible?) or if the plug-in stops working. I have registrations currently going on so I don’t want to fudge anything up.

So we have the following installed:
    Events Manager Version 5.7.3.
    Events Manager Pro Version 2.5.1
Events Manager and WPML Compatibility Version 1.0.1

My agency installed the Pro plug-in so they have the login & password, I’ve contacted the plug-in to request additionnal accesses as I’ve read there are Pro support forums. I decided to try here also just in case I would get help here first…

Any other idea other than trying the Dev version? And / or reassurance there is no risk associated with giving your suggestion a try?

    Thanks,
    Annie

The current Dev version should be very safe as it’s due to become the next Stable version very soon.

That said, I looked at the change log for the Dev version and didn’t see any fixes related to your situation. Given that, I don’t think upgrading will help.

Are events the only places where you’re customizing emails? I’m wondering if it could be that the email templates are being superseded by another setting somewhere.

    Hi Caimin,

Thanks for the reply! Hmmm, well I don’t know if that’s exactly what you mean, but we do have another plug-in that sends emails. It’s called Birchpress and it send automated emails when people register for apointments… These emails are way different tho, and do not contain the same fields, as they are for a different kind of event (live, as opposed to web sessions for Events Manager).

Let me know if you think of anything else I should investigate.

    Thanks!
    Annie

Thanks for opening this on the Pro forums, we’ll continue the support for this issue on the Pro forums.
