Creating Post/Page Templates for Custom Post Types

    Hello there!

    I’ve been googling around on how to add Sela’s Page/Post Templates for my Custom Post Types, and I’m not really coming up with anything solid (unless I’m just not understanding the tutorials). I’d like to be able to add the option for the already built-in Sela templates to the CPTs that I’ve created, and I was wondering how I would go about doing this? I’m running off a child theme of Sela.

    Hi @lattesandstories – your custom post types *should* fall back to use Sela’s basic styles, are they not? You can also add templates to your child theme especially for your new CPTs, but they need to be named according to a certain convention. This Codex page explains how:

    You can then copy over the necessary HTML/CSS from Sela’s other templates so that your new ones match.
