How to find page id with permalinks

  • I am working on a WP2.7 with private pages and permalinks. I would like to find the page ids so I can use the exclude feature to keep them out of the navigation.

    There is a plugin you can install which adds them in as a column on the pages listing page. However you can see them without adding a plugin. On that pages list page, point at the name of the page you want to know the ID # of. While pointing, look in the browser status bar at the lower left side. You will see a URL appear there. The very last at the end of the URL is the post ID # (its called post ID on both posts and pages)
