Updated: content gone

    Just updated this plugin and now all my content’s gone. Everything that was in an organic template is blank.

    Every Organic Subpage widget has thrown away the text box (where I’d put content) and now just has “Existing page” (of which I have none).

    How do I get my content back?

    Hi @tiero,

    I apologize for the confusion. Within version 1.1.6 we simplified the Subpage widget to only allow for displaying content from an existing page. This update was made because we felt the Featured Content widget should be used for adding content directly within the widget options rather than the Subpage widget.

    If you would like to revert back to version 1.1.5 to get your content back, you can download the older plugin version on this page, https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/organic-customizer-widgets/advanced/

    I would recommend reverting the plugin back to version 1.1.5, then manually moving your custom content from the Subpage widgets to the Featured Content widgets. Then, you could update to the latest plugin version without losing the content.

    It would’ve helped a week ago when the problem happened. I rebuilt from my testbed installation, though I lost some changes in the process.

    Where’s the old data stored in the database? I’ll find it manually and fix it that way. ??

    Sorry we couldn’t be of help faster. Hopefully this thread will help anybody else that experiences the issue.

    Regarding the database, the data should be stored in wp_options with the option name “widget_organic_widgets_subpage_section”.
