Change a site Built in Cake PHP to WordPress
-
I paid some developers in India to develop a site for me. I wanted it in WordPress but they said it would be better to use CakePHP because of some complicated stuff I need it to do as far as ordering.
The Order page works fine for the most part but the rest of the site looks like crap and is very hard and cumbersome to change.
My site is very video and picture oriented and I know there are all kinds of plugins and such that would look way nicer and easier to manage than what I have now.
My question is can I design a nice new looking site in WordPress and then just have a link to the order page in cake? That is the only page that wouldn’t be easy to do in WordPress.
Could I do it all using the same domain name and just adding WordPress to it or would it be easier to just start a new site in wordpress and just have the menu link send it to the existing site and change the menu on the order page to link back to the WordPress site?
As you can probably tell I’m a clueless newbie when it comes to this Cakephp stuff and have no desire to learn to code in itThe page I need help with: [log in to see the link]
