First – gotta give the Love to Foo Gallery – in general it has been a pretty good plugin to use. Now the problem – the release 1.3.29 when I updated to it all my thumbnail images on a page became very very very small. Had to rollback to 1.3.8 version. Then almost 24 hours later saw another update of 1.4.4 so I thought great they fixed the issue. Sadly not the case. After updating to 1.4.4 and discovering the very very very small thumbnail issue still exists I had to rollback to 1.3.8. Hopefully they will figure out what is causing that problem so I can update to latest version as I do like the look and feel of the “Tabbed” Galley Settings in 1.4.4.

Thank You In Advance For Your Help.

I just discovered a very interesting element to this whole very very very small thumbnail issue. On the General Tab is a message that says “The Simple Portfolio template works best when you have captions and descriptions set for every attachment in the gallery. To change captions and descriptions, simply hover over the thumbnail above and click the “i” icon.

So I went in and copied the caption word and put it in the description field – updated and all the thumbnail images came back to their correct size. If I go back and change the description field to another word or sentence then update, it reverts back to the very very very small thumbnail issue. I go back and change the description field to exactly what words are in the caption field, update and all the thumbnail images come back to correct size.

I only tried this experiment on one of the images, did not need to do it on all the images. So by doing the exact caption word into the description field, it triggers something behind the scenes that brings back all the thumbnails to their correct size.

Hope this helps the developers to figure out how to solve this issue.

Please update to v1.4.5 which was just released. Clear all caches in your browser, the plugin (on the settings page under the “general” tab), and any caching options from other plugins or from your host.

If this doesn’t work, please edit a gallery and update it and save.

Please let us know how it goes.
