    Hi.

Does anyone know what the optimum size is for the sitewide banner option available in the theme options of the WordPress Virtue theme by Kadence? I can’t seem to find it.

    Many thanks.

    Kelly.

    Hi Kelly,
For a full-width image we recommend about 2000px wide and around 1600px high, depending on your image dimensions.
    Hope that’s helpful!

    Thank you Hannah.

Could you also advise me how to enable featured images on a page or to set the sit wide banner so it only appears on the homepage? At the moment I’ve got it showing at the top of all pages having loaded it in the main settings of the theme options but I’d rather just have it as a full-width featured image on the homepage. Featured images I’ve loaded on other pages also don’t show. Is this doable?

    Many thanks.

    Kelly.

For the homepage I would recommend using the home slider rather than the sitewide banner. Just choose one image for your slider. You can enable from Theme Options > Home Slider Settings. Then for your pages make sure you are using the Featured page template and the head content is set to image.

    Hi Hannah.

My site is looking really good now but I can’t get my blog posts to show in full even though I’ve selected show “post in full” under post settings. Any hints?

Make sure you have not set a page to be your posts page from Settings > Reading. That needs to be left blank, or it will override your blog page settings.

Thanks Hannah. I’ve tried that but it still doesn’t show the full article? I’ve refreshed a few times but perhaps I need to log out and back in?

You have set the post summary to full within the blog edit page, correct? Not just in theme options?

I can’t see an option to do this in the blog edit page, assuming you mean for the individual post page? Thanks.

Nope, the blog archive page. Under Blog List Options.

Ah I see. So I’ve switched to Virtue from the Motif theme where blogs needed to be cerated as Posts not Pages. So this is why I don’t see the blog list options as you do. So I’ll have to republish all my blog posts as pages and select the blog template?

    hannah

    (@hannahritner)

No, your blog posts are still posts. It’s only the blog archive that is a page. Can you send me a screenshot of your blog archive edit page?

Ok I’ve found the option you refer to but it only displays all blogs in full and not via the “read more” or “continue” links – https://www.churchstreetmedia.co.uk/blog. Not sure how I can send you a screen shot via this forum? thanks.
