How to expand image width beyond 660 pixels?

  • This is curious. Anyone image I upload wider than 660 gets cropped on the right side. I cannot figure out how to expand the allowable width of images.

    The only image settings I can find is under Settings/Media, where there is a max width and height setting. But I can set it to 1600 width and nothing happens.

    Where am I going wrong? Is 660 just the unchangeable default of wordpress?

    You just need to modify the image post and from HTML section you can apply image width and height for the image.
