can u install feedsmith plugin via backend installer?

    hello,

    if u download the feedsmith plugin from here:

    https://www.google.com/support/feedburner/bin/answer.py?answer=78483

    can u install this plugin through the wordpress backend installer ie plugins>add new>Install a plugin in .zip format?

    the google documentation says you have to:

    “Copy the plugin file, FeedBurner_FeedSmith_Plugin.php into your default WordPress plugin directory, wp-content/plugins/”.

    But just wondering if the installer would work as well.

    Any info much appreciated!

    The ZIP installer should work on most plugins, if they use the same basic layout format that wp.org plugins use. Namely, a ZIP file with a single folder and the php and other files inside that.
