Smart 404 Blocking add-on issue?

    Yesterday I enabled the Brute Force Detection rename login feature. I already had the smart 404 blocking plugin installed. Today the site and login URL were all unreachable until I disabled the smart 404 blocking plugin via cpanel. There were 50 pages of 404 IP addresses blocked so I’ve deleted those and the site is functioning. Is there a known issue using the smart blocking 404 plugin with the rename login URL or something else happening?
