how do the category expiration options work?

  • Can someone please explain how these are supposed to work as Im having trouble understanding it/getting it to work.

    I have a page that display posts from category ‘shows’ on the expiration date id like the posts category to change to category ‘showsarchive’ which should mean they dont display on that posts page anymore?

  • I find using the category id number works much better than the title, particularly if category titles are similar. I have no idea why.
