When you restrict some content, there are currently 2 cases for what to do with unauthorized users. “Redirect” will redirect to a specified page/URL, and “Tease & Include” will instead include the content from specified page on the same page.
If the restricted content is a post or a page, and you are using the “More” tag to specify an excerpt, then that excerpt will be displayed above. So it works much like some news sites let you read a small part of an article before they ask you to login/pay.
Changing the action from Redirect to Tease and Include gives access to all restricted conditions, so what is the point?
and it doesn’t redirect to the chosen page in the drop down select menu below either, why is it still visible then, when the Tease and Include action is active?
Can you explain this in more detail, and provide me with a screenshot of your conditions? “Tease & Include” should not give access to unauthorized users.
I also would like to se explanations for all listed conditions like “Profile” and “Profile visibility” as I can’t see any effect of these on the members page.
While the official documentation is not complete and “published” yet, you can read more about the BuddyPress Profile condition, and all other supported conditions here: https://dev.institute/docs/restrict-user-access/conditions/buddypress-profile-sections/
Please note that profile sections added by other plugins might or might not be supported, depending on how the sections have been implemented.
