Our website [www.bmwmoc.org] is running on Siteground shared hosting.
Will SG Optimizer do me more good than W3 Total Cache?
And currently using SG default PHP 5.6.

@rjpivonka – Ivan Atanasov from SiteGround here.

The short answer to your question is that if you wish to use both plugins along one another, you should disable the full page caching in W3 Total Cache.

However, I would like to offer an explanation as well which will allow you to decide if you wish to do this.

The caching model you can benefit from with SG Optimizer relies on gathering and pulling the cache directly from the server memory. While W3 Total Cache uses a different approach which is file-based.

The file-based caching method is considered slower and not that reliable and it is why SG Optimizer was designed to gather and present the cached content directly from the server’s memory.

What this means is that you should decide which of the two plugins you would like to use for caching. If you decide that SG Optimizer is the better option, you should disable the full page caching of W3 Total Cache(I believe it is called “Caching the Front Page” in W3 Total Cache) then activate SG Optimizer (in combination with Super Cacher from your hosting account’s cPanel).

With this setup, SG Optimizer will be responsible for caching your website, while you can still use all of the other W3 Total Cache functions without the two plugins conflicting with each other.
