Not what everyone needs – please do not add to core!!!

  • For people who are super visual and perhaps just coming into WP, this format MIGHT be more intuitive. As it is, it’s incredibly buggy, is unable to update old posts, and adds clicks to do everything from making an H2 header to adding a link.

    WordPress’s dashboard as it stands is very intuitive – everyone knows how to use a word processor, and that’s what it feels like. Linear. Easy to understand. Adding blocks only adds confusion and is going to anger many current users. It also breaks plugins (like Easy Recipe for example) that entire posts/blogs are formatted on. Please leave this a plugin for those who really want it and let the rest of us keep working as efficiently as we can!! ?? ?? ??

    First thanks for your review, all feedback matters as work continues on this project. There will be a fallback option: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/classic-editor/. Over time plugins will also be worked on to work better with Gutenberg. Could I ask for some screenshots of the issues you have with Easy Recipe? It’s important as a team to see all issues.
