Feature Request – SSL in Core

No plugins and no core mods are needed to make an SSL site. It’s really easy if you do SSL from the start, but converting a site from http to https consists of

1. Make a backup of the database.
2. Use a plugin like “better search replace”, wp-cli’s search-replace command, or interconnectit’s search replace script to search for https://example.com and replace with https://example.com.

That’s about it.
