When updating plugins the normal WordPress message shows:
Briefly unavailable for scheduled maintenance. Check back in a minute.

The plugin has a custom page setup and is set to ‘Maintenance Mode’

    Is that normal?

    Thanks,

    Ian.

Two different kinds of maintenance modes, see this for an example and how to customize that page: https://www.seedprod.com/how-to-create-custom-maintenance-mode-page-wordpress/

    Hi Seedprod,

    Thanks for the quick reply.

So the plugin doesn’t override the default messaging? I’m aware of the maintenance.php method – but assumed the plugin would override that.

If that’s not the case, is there anyway to hijack / dynamically write the maintenance.php file? That would be a nice addition!

    Thanks for the plugin,

    Ian.

I have plans to auto generate that file in the plugin soon but right now it’s manual.?? Cheers
