404 error

    I am using bbpress 2.5.14, which is a new plugin for me and the user wants moderation tools. I’ve pretty much left everything on the default settings but set up a user as “Moderator”. I have “All posts (lockeddown)” selected and the email notification for moderators ticked.

    However, when I try to submit a new topic anonymously, I get taken to a page with this “404 Error!
    It looks like nothing was found at this location. Maybe try a search instead?”

    I disabled all plugins and didn’t get any errors – but as soon as I activated both the Moderator Tools and bbpress, it returned to the error. Similarly, when I click on the link in the email – I get taken to the same page

    Hi,

    Sorry for the delay responding to this query. Having now tested this I can see the issue is with your URL structure. Your URL contains 2 params using “?”. This is a bug with the bbPress Moderation Tools plugin which I have scheduled to be fixed in a future release.

    In the meantime, if you changed your website URL structure to use pretty URLs it will fix the issue. See here for more: https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Using_Permalinks
