This is far and away the most flexible and complete social media sharing plugin I’ve used. The wide variety of platforms to which you may upload your posts is impressive.

Also in this age of plugins putting their best features behind paywalls, Blog2Social offers everything most users will need for free. Not that I’m suggesting you shouldn’t upgrade to the pay version.

My only quarrel is that it doesn’t upload and display images to Twitter properly. If an image isn’t hosted on the user’s server it won’t upload or display the image in a tweet. Sometimes even if the image IS hosted on the site’s servers it won’t display it.

That’s the only thing that lowers the rating from 5 to 4 for me.

    Hi @richards1052,

Thank you so much for your kind words and your rating!

Yeah, Twitter recently changed their API regarding the display of images:

They display a post according to the available Twitter:Card information of a post.
You can enable Twitter:Cards with Blog2Social via your WordPress dashboard -> Blog2Social -> Settings -> Social Meta Data -> Meta Tags Settings for Posts and Pages

If you want to share the image set as your Twitter:Image, you can share your Tweet as link post.

If you want to share an individual or uploaded image, please select the photo post format right in your Blog2Social editor.

You can also set one of the formats as your default post format in your Blog2Social settings -> Network Settings -> Twitter.

You can contact us any time via email if you have further questions on the display of images on Twitter ??

Thank you again for your awesome rating and feedback!

I already have those settings enabled for Twitter meta tags. still getting gray blank space when I upload to Twitter.

You can’t set the Twitter format under Network Settings unless you have a premium account. That choice is greyed out for me.

This occurs both with images which are located on my server and images to which I’m linking via an external website.

Below are screenshots which show the issue:
