    Hello

I recently wanted to turn my website into an online shop so transferred it over to Shopify. Unfortunately Shopify doesn’t have a user friendly blog so I would like to go back to WordPress. The problem is, is that I can’t login to my old wp-admin for the site and when logged in as my user name it doesn’t show the dashboard.

It’s now going to a different host but the website is https://www.shorebeing.co.uk

If anyone can help this would be much appreciated!

    Hannah

Of course not – your domain is currently pointing to a shopify website.

I recommend either contacting your previous hosting service provider (your previous website might still be available, so it may just be a matter of pointing your domain to the old website). If that’s not the case, you’ll probably have to start from scratch or stick with Shopify.

Alternatively it might be worth it to hire someone to do the initial setup, since there’s a bit of fiddling involved. It’s all about baby steps ??

What did you transfer? Your domain name? Did you move your WordPress site? Where was your previous site hosted?

The link you provided is a Shopify site, not a WordPress site. If you left your previous hosting without moving your website or backing it up, it is GONE….

Thank you both for your comments. I guess I thought the back office of the website would still be under my WordPress login but that the url would be in use by shopify…my knowledge is limited but I didn’t expect my entire account to be wiped.

123-reg are my old hosting service so I will speak to them, I did have website back ups but I also find WordPress sites easy to use so will be able to reset up in an evening.

    Thanks again!
