Error 500

I can’t enter my blog, after updating Amazon link associates plugin!!

Is is the message

Fatal error: Cannot use object of type WP_Error as array in /membri/ecobiogirls/wp-content/plugins/amazon-associates-link-builder/ip2country/aalb_maxmind_db_manager.php on line 94

I had the same problem.

If you can access your website by FTP (I use FileZilla), go to the www folder then wp content then plugins. You will see the amazon associates plugin’s folder. Delete it and you can access your website again.

This is how I did. All your amazon associates shortcodes will break but at least, you and your visitors can access your website.

I went back to version 1.4.13 because 1.5.1 is not working for me (WordPress 4.9.1)

Sincere apologies for this issue. With your valuable input, we identified the root cause & fixed the issue in v1.5.2 of the plugin released a few minutes back. Please upgrade to the same (even if you are not facing issue right now as this might affect you later).

For those who are not able to access their admin panel to upgrade, please access your website via FTP(as described by @isaac93) & delete the plugin & then download the latest version(1.5.2). In case you are not able to do that, contact your hosting provider to either upgrade the same or delete the plugin so that you can download the latest version of the plugin(v1.5.2) from the WordPress. Once again sincere apologies for all this trouble caused by our end.

Dear guys, I’m still in trouble: I cant have access to FileZilla because I’m using the old Windows Vista which is not compatible with FileZilla.

Hope to find soon an alternative.

The funny thing is that I don’t even use AMAZON Associates Service, not anymore! I should have deleted the plugin long time ago, instead of updating it today, like a fool!

I could restablish my blog by switching to the last back up, but the problem is I have no idea when the last back up has taken place. It would be a great pity loosing my last articles…

My free hosting provider (altervista) doesn’t answer :-(( so sad.

Dear @superninchen i’ve Just downloaded CORE-FTP-LE program. I tried to connect CORE FTP with my blog, filling the site CORE manager with my website address and password, but nothing happens. The same message:”can’t establish connection with https://www.ecobiogirls.altervista.org”

Amazon plugin caused me a big problem! Christmas is here and I have a lot of work to do!!

Your blog key won’t help because it’s the access through the front door, which is damaged by the AALB plugin.

We need to enter the house from the terrace. By FTP that is.

When you got your domain with altervista, didn’t you get an email with the account details, mail server addresses and an FTP access?

The ftp server usually is different from the domain name of your blog.

Actually, there might be a solution: bringing back my blog to the last back up. The point is that I don’t know when the last back up was. Anyway I’ll try because I don’t see alternatives.
