Forbidden on pages only

  • When I try to edit a page (but not a post) I receive a 404 message. So I deleted the .htaccess so I could see what was actually wrong and got this:

    Forbidden

    You don’t have permission to access /blog/wp-admin/page.php on this server.
    Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

    All my files are 644 and the directories are 755.

    Any thoughts?
