• i’ve made the switch from blogger to wordpress. although still in the final development stages, it’s ready for primetime: https://dkaye.com/escapes
(i still have to finish moving the old posts over though. that’s the hard part, i guess. )
i’m really liking the wordpress software. still grappling with some of the css and php coding, but soon hope to have it all worked out.

thanks much! got the pop-up comments section straightened out. still looking through the customizations to enrich the blog a little more.

ok – i’ve discovered the blog is not displaying properly in Firefox and IE. specifically:
Firefox – entire page captures as an i-frame? footer appears in menu bar behind the weather icon. clicking on the header (blogname) link causes the page to shift down
IE – weather icon displays with a black background, weather location loses its formatted properties, and the footer loses its formatted properties.
The template base was wp-new, with extensive modifications.
    Any suggestions on a fix?
    tia.

resolved my css issues – and got the blog to validate inclusive of plugins and hacks. the primary issue was wrapped into the “rap” and “dividers” sections.
now to find that transparency setting for .pngs so my weather icons don’t have that ugly black background in IE (for those who absolutely MUST use IE, self not included).

well, more changes. the white background just wasn’t doing it for me, and i added a little “pizazz” across the top.
stuck tho on how to deal with the sidebar — would greatly appreciate some ideas. maybe move the calendar up and the archives menu down? add/remove other content?

Look’s great in Safari (Mac OS X)! ??

    Good Job
