• I really need you “professional bloggers” insight. I am VERY new to the whole blogging world. I would like to eventually sell ad space on my site.. I have one ad that i already need to list, but i cant see, to give a nice, comprehensive solution..

I would basically like the following abilities:
create ad groups for rotating ads
Different ad sizes (or ability to use actual image size)
    expiration times
    rotation frequency
flexible placement throughout website (not JUST a widget for the sidebar)
ability for advertiser to track clicks and impressions

I would LOVE to know which ones have been successful for you.

I have already tried ad-minister which was ok, but the tracking does not seem to work the way i thought it would have.. actually, i havent gotten it to work AT ALL

I tried AdServe, but i guess maybe it doesnt work on my version. I installed it and tried to create an add and got an error.. then i read that it is not tested on my version

I tried AD ROTATE and just didnt like the UI in anyway..

SO i want to know WHAT WORKS FOR YOU?? What do succesfull blogs use?

  • Hi lindsayanng, Im a newbie as well. What version of WP are you using?

I have 2.7 and am interested in following the progression of this thread. I hope to do the same down the road.

    Thanks

well, Since you are interested, I will let you know my findings..

I did some GOOGLING because the wordpress plugin search is just ridiculous. You search “Advertisements” and you get LOADS of other stuff.

    Anyways, I found this program::
    O|OPlublishing
They seem the have the EASIEST to use program AND its fully functional. It is paid.. $37 but for $37, if you sell just a FEW ads, you already paid for it.. Plus, they give you multi-user licenses so if you had mutliple blogs, you can install it on anything!!

I just send them an email, because I think i want to use it on my 2 blogs AND my one website that I am creating.. So i will let you know if i do install it how it works out.

Seems to be (so far) the best deal out there

well, just an update for anyone who might find this.. I installed the OIO publisher plugin and it is seriously the best thing since sliced bread.. a thousand times easier to manager, super easy to undersand, and FULLY flexible with where you want to put your ads in your templates.. You can literally place them anywwhere, no widgets needed or anything.. You can also create your own ads so you can track your insite advertising and such.. FUN
