Is it possible to add tables, doors, plants or other shapes in the floor plan other than horizontal and vertical cells? Or, ios there a way to hide the cells that I dont want selectable in the scheme?

    Thanks

  • That’s it as far as I’m aware, pretty basic stuff.

gotcha. thanks I appreciate it. The workaround Im using is to just to select an area, grayed out, and marked as unavailable. at least it will give somewhat of a floorplan look.

Will keep looking for another plugin with similar capabilities.

    Hello,

    Sorry for late response.

    There is no such ability.
You just can try to play around with CSS styles in /css/public.css

    Best regards

@artkanmedia, I’d suggest that you make it possible to select a block of seats and apply common elements to each single seat rather than the the entire block behaving as a single seat. You can view seating block image linked here to see what I’m talking about.

When I selected a block and gave it a name, eg Block A, applied a description and price, the entire block of 40 seats were placed in the cart at the price that I entered. I thought each seat would have been priced separately.

So to respond to the op by @chrisglitz53, and agree with the workaround, blocking is possible but it is tedious if each seat has to be priced separately if, for example, you have a 200 seat venue with different prices or even a single price.

Another suggestion is to use tabs to “Add an event” and create a scheme since there’s no need for a whole screen for a calendar that can be a pop-up. On the “Add an event” form an options set up would allow choosing an existing scheme or “Add New Scheme.”

Too many pages to jump around for a straightforward activity.

Hope you take these as suggestions and not criticisms.

@starapple, Bulk seat managing exists in Book a Place Pro. So admin is able to select an area and create a bunch of seats. There is also a custom numbering option and helper to set row and column indexes automatically. It can be found on CodeCanyon.

Thanks for a suggestion about “Add an event” functionality. You are the first person from more than 10k downloaders/buyers that suggests something about “Add an event” functionality. It seems to be not a big problem – administrator just has to read a manual once and that is it. The flow rebuilding will not save too much time for admins.

    Thanks and best regards!

Thanks for your feedback @artkanmedia. While I think I like Book a Place because it’s not complex, I’ve been testing Event Kikfyre from the WP depository and find it’s very feature rich. But UX is something that not a lot of developers pay attention to. It’s the reason so many people buy Apple products: UX intuitive and simple.

In the age when so many folks are using their phones for every type of computing, navigating multiple screens to achieve a singe objective is old fashioned.

Anyway, if Event Kikfyre doesn’t workout, I’ll give Book a Place Pro a try because I do prefer its relative compactness.

    Best regards.
