Product Search Sort by Relevance While Product Sorting is Set to Popularity

Is there a way to make the WooCommerce search form default to list / sort by relevance when the default product sorting has been set to by Popularity?

The homepage / product index has been set to sort by popularity (WooCommerce > Settings > Products > Display > Default Product Sorting). This carries over when using the WooCommerce Product Search, sorting the products related to the search by Popularity, rather than relevance. How can I make the search form sort by relevant by default without impacting the homepage / shop page listing products by popularity?
