For our website we use WPML to translate the website.
https://www.chouchous.fr is our first language. In this language the slider is still visible.
But in the 2nd language (www.babybio.nl) the slider disappeared. It noticed yesterday, but maybe it’s longer.

I’ve tried to rollback to an older version, but that doesn’t help.
    Please help.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hi @jitskepaladijncom,

It looks like MetaSlider is inheriting some styles from your theme that are causing it not to show.

Can you tell me what styles you are talking about? So I know where to start looking?

The strange thing is, that this is only a problem in the 2nd language and not in the default langage.
If this were a style thing, woudn’t this be a problem for all languages?

    Hi @jitskepaladijncom,

I just checked the slider and saw it was there but it was inheriting a lot of styles. But, I don’t know why. Can you switch the language on the site not working and try that?

Can you put one of the slideshows on a test page in the content area?

    Thanks

It is not possible to switch language. When I swith to the default language it works OK. When I deactivate WPML the 2nd language is not visible anymore;-)

I’ve made a test page with the slider code on it:
    https://babybio.nl/test-jitske/

It looks there are no slides in that one. Is it a new slideshow?

When I checked yesterday there was still some content. But now it’s gone. When I try to make new content it seems to save, but then it’s empty again.

So I’ve tried to ad a new slider with content. This is still not visible.

And … also strange… in the menu we also display slides. For some menuitems these are visible (draagdoeken, draagjassen, draagzakken), but others are not (speelgoed, eten, kleding).

So sometimes they are displayed in this language and sometimes they are not ;-(

If no slides are showing that means there’s an issue with the database. Later or tomorrow I can try to recreate this. Can you tell me how you select the language? Is it just through the general settings area?

This is Dutch language, right? Which country? Belgium maybe? I’m wondering if it’s because we don’t have a specific translation for Dutch language in Belgium. We have nl_NL but not nl_BE.

Yes, it’s Dutch, but nl_nl not _be.

I select the language via WPML.

The strangest thing is that a few hours ago we both saw that the slideshow seemed empty. But now I checked the admin again and they are back! So I can see them in admin. But still not ont the frontend.

I found a solution. The cause is probably on our side and not in your plugin, but with an other slider plugin it worked, so we have decided to goe with ‘Slider WD’.

    @jitskepaladijncom,

Okay, glad to hear you’ve solved your problem! Let me know if you experience any issues with the other site then. Have a nice weekend.
