Hello, we have a WooCommerce installation using the Authorize.net payment gateway on our website.
    https://www.dynamicinstitute.com/

When customers submit orders, the payment goes through and the order IDs match up between our site system and Authorize.net, however the “Description” detail inside Authorize.net for all transactions is left blank rather than use the title of the product or other details.

Why isn’t this information being sent over from our website to Authorize.net?
Is there a way we can accomplish this?
Is it possible that our theme may be causing this problem or is this normal behavior?

    Appreciate any assistance.
    Thanks,

    -Sunny

    Hey there!

Information is sent to Authorize.Net via the API – this is handled in the payment gateway plugin. If you’re using one of the paid WooCommerce.com plugins, you can contact the developer for support:

    Hi Hannah, thanks for respond!

I don’t believe we are using an additional plugin for Authorize.net; we are only using the base WooCommerce functionality. So does that mean that the base WooCommerce plugin does not send a description detail to Authorize.net for orders?

I’m sorry, it looks like we DO have a payment gateway plugin called “Authorize.net Payment Gateway For WooCommerce”

I will ask their support for help. Do you happen to have any details on this plugin, by chance?

    Thanks again.
