Conflict with Beaver Builder 2

  • Hello,

    I have a conflict between Shortcode in Menus 3.4 (very handy plugin) and Beaver Builder 2 when publishing a Beaver Builder layout that contains a menu with a Beaver Builder shortcode item: the BB menu bar remains blurred, the WP admin bar doesn’t show up, process freezes.
    This works OK if i disable SiM plugin.

    Since Shortcode in Menus is recommended in Beaver Builder KB, i thought you would like to know. I informed BB support too.

    Hi,

    I tested further after Beaver Builder support answered my request, the conflict doesn’t come from Beaver Builder 2, that currently seems to work well with Shortcode in Menus, but from a BB third party plugin: PowerPack and its “Advanced Menu” module.
    The regular BB Menu module works OK.
    So i asked PowerPack Beaver Addons support.

    Thanks for looking into the issue, I’ll try replicating the issue on my development server as well, and if I find a fix I’ll release another version of the plugin ASAP.

    It would be helpful to know which shortcode you’re trying to use with the plugin and your PHP version as well as WordPress version and list of active plugins.

    2 shortcodes in my menu:
    [wd_asp id=1] > Ajax Search plugin
    [fl_builder_insert_layout slug=”my-slug”] > Beaver Builder saved module

    PHP 7.0.22-0ubuntu0.16.04.1

    WordPress 4.9.1
    Beaver Builder Plugin 2.0.3.1
    PowerPack for BB 2.2.0,1
    Shortcode in Menus 3.4

    And 11 other enabled plugins i won’t list here except if you find it’s essential, tell me. But you gave me a hint, i should try to disable unnecessary plugins to test.

    [Update] I just tried, disabled all plugins but the necessaries, Beaver Builder 2 is sill freezing when publishing a layout with a PowerPack Advanced Menu containing shortcodes.
    It doesn’t if i disable Shortcode in Menus.
    I forgot to mention Beaver Themer 1.0.3 as enabled plugin in the liste above.
