What could be the problem ? User cant login but I can using their details

  • I recently set up a site for a customer. They have created a user account and recieved the username and password via email.

    They claim to be unable to login on their PC using the details that have come through via email. However they sent me their details and I can login to that account. Could this be cookie related or can you login without cookies ??

    What could be the problem ?

  • WordPress relies on cookies for login, so if they have cookies disabled they will not be able to log in. First, ask them if they can check that cookies are enabled. If they are, make sure they are typing their password in exactly as it appears – it is case sensitive. You may be copy and pasting it, they probably aren’t.

    Im going around there tomorrow to try from their PC . Ill let you know what happens.
