Easy setup for Leopard

  • Have spent the day trying to install WP on a box running OS X 10.5.6 without success. I tried MAMP but couldn’t get .htaccess and .htpasswd to work to protect the MAMP StartPage so I gave up on that.
    Then I moved on to this guide but ran into problems already at the first gray box.
    Do I miss something? It shouldn’t be that hard.

    Edit: Noticed that there were five identical posts in the forum, all i got when trying to post was “topic not found”…
