• What markup do you use if you want multiple galleries?

    I.E. One blog post has pictures, which I would want to be one gallery and second blog post has a separate set of pictures that I want to be another gallery.

    How would I do this without lightbox putting them in the same albumn.

  • First shadowbox != lightbox

    Second, if you are using the automation part of the shadowbox plugin it creates a gallery for each post. Posts do not share galleries. It does what you want automatically.

    Third, if you are not using automation make sure your gallery is named differently for each post. i.e. rel=”shadowbox[post-89]” and rel=”shadowbox[post-99]”. the text inside of the square brackets [] denotes the gallery name. this just needs to be unique and doesn’t have to be the post number of anything.

    Thank you for answering. One final question……Is there a plugin/line of code, that I can use that would allow me to put multiple galleries on my front page…..for instance I would have 5 pictures in a line and clicking on each individual pic would open up a separate gallery.

    NextGen Gallery does that but you need to implement Shadowbox JS into it so you get the good appearance of this plugin.
