Change the width of sidebar and content area

    Hi,

    First of all, I want to thank you for a wonderful wordpress themes. It’s the perfect theme for my blog! If this theme was on sale, I’d more willing to buy it.

    1. Anyway, I’m wondering if there is a way or if you can point me to where I can change or adjust the width of both the sidebar and content when on single post view and I selected the option to show either the right or left side bar.

    2. Also to adjust width of the content section when I’m on the NO SIDE BAR option.

    Currently sidebar size is around 260 px and the content area is around 560px, if you have the option to show the either the right or left side bar. I like to adjust the sidebar to 300 PX and adjust the content area to 650px or up to 850px, the same size when I selected the NO SIDE BAR option.

    I have the child theme installed.

    I appreciate any help.

    Hi Abiel,

    Thanks for using Mission News!

    This has been a popular request, so I am going to add a feature for it in the next update. There will be a way to expand the post content into the sidebar area when you hide a sidebar or both sidebars.

    I have the same request, I need to enlarge content area as widely as it possible.

    Version 1.11 is now available for Mission News. I’ve added three new post layouts that will allow you to use a wider content area. The new templates are:

    • Left sidebar – wide
    • Right sidebar – wide
    • No sidebar – wide

    You should be able to update via the notification in your Appearance menu now.

    hi Ben,

    Happy New Year!

    As soon as I saw the update for the theme, I immediately checked the changelog and saw that you added the three new layout.

    But I cannot seem to find the option to permanently set it on the customizer, I need to manually select it from editor.

    Nonetheless, this is the layout that I’m talking about… I guess.. beggars can’t be choosers… heheheh..

    Oh shoot! I honestly just forgot b/c it wasn’t in my notes.

    I will update Mission News again this week with the new layouts available in the global Customizer settings ??
