    Hi Everybody,

    i have a little problem with the metaslider / flexslider.
    When i open the page the images are not shown in their uploaded size/crop. When i move the width of my browser window the image is getting “zoomed in” and the crop of the images changes to it′s uploaded crop.

    Any advise how to setup metaslider to show images in their original crop?

    Thanks in advance!

  • Hi @digimacher,

    It looks okay to me. Which browser and OS are you using?

    I checked it with the following browser/os combinations:

    Firefox (Version 57) on Mac and Windows 10 is showing the “problem”
    Chrome on Windows 10 also shows the “problem”
    Edge on Windows 10 shows the problem
    IE also shows the problem

    Which browser and OS are you testing?

    You can find two screenshots which should explain the problem.

    Thanks in advance!

    I’m not sure exactly if I understand the problem, but I do notice you have some custom styles that are affecting the positioning and height of the slideshow. Could you remove those temporarily and see if that fixes it?

    Line 77 of style.css

    .metaslider {
        position: relative;
        min-height: 460px;
        z-index: auto;
        overflow: hidden;
        top: 80px;
    }

    Hi,

    i tested it. On a MAC computer, it now looks better. The problem is gone in Chrome and Firefox. Safari still shows the effect.

    I can test it tomorrow with a Windows 10 system.

    Any ideas, for the Safari “thing”?

    Hi @digimacher,

    If it works fine everywhere but Safari then it’s probably caching. Do you know how to clear the cache on Safari? You need to enable the “Develop” tab, then select “Empty Caches”. Let me know if that doesn’t work.

    Hi @kbat82,

    you′re right. After cleaning my safari cache everything looks fine. No matter which browser and/or OS, everything looks like it should.

    Thank you so much for your help!

    Merry Christmas!
