    Thanks for the great plugin!

    I’ve added the snippet to my theme function.php. It still is making variation SKUs with slugs out of order.

    Any ideas?

    I found my issue. The parent SKU is used at the beginning of the auto-generated variable SKU.

    My new question…is there a way to override this?

    Hey @micwoods, currently the variable product depends on having a parent SKU present to be generated. This is to ensure SKU uniqueness since many shops use variations that are the same across several products. I’m afraid there’s no built-in way to override this to only use variations for the SKU.
