• Great plugin but useless if you have paranoid mode setup on your WP page…for instance, WPWorker expects, that everybody has admin logon located on the wp-admin link etc.If you would like to connect it together to your page, you must insert your login info…it says that it will not be stored but…paranoia is paranoia…anyway idea with usage of API key does not work if you have combination of different login page name and not willing to put your credentials to anybody…but anyway, thank you, great plugin for non-mission critical web pages.

  • There are a few things you could do to get the job done without leaving the paranoid mode ??

    • Create a temporary admin account > add the website using the temp admin > delete temp admin account
    • Add a website without providing the credentials. The latest Worker update features a unique connection key that’s generated on your site when you activate the Worker plugin. You will see the detailed steps in the plugin description on your website

That being said, changing the login URL is basically a core hack, and as such is not recommended by the WordPress Security team since there are a lot of sophisticated attacks that don’t even target the login URL. From a security standpoint, it does not hurt the website, but it does break functionality of plugins such as ManageWP.
