Latest Visitors All Searching for My Business Name?

  • I have the new version of WP Statistics and all of the latest visitors have my business name in quotes and mydomain.com/business+name The same applies for recent visitors. The landing page is mydomain.com/business+name. What is wrong with this plugin and can I rollback somehow?

    Add page title to empty search words:

    If a search engine is identified as the referrer but it does not include the search query this option will substitute the page title in quotes preceded by “~:” as the search query to help identify what the user may have been searching for.

    Having this feature enabled in settings does not work at all. Almost every visitor is logged by WP Statistics as:

    ~ “My Business Name”

    Recent visitors are nearly the same with most being:

    https://www.google.com/?q=%7E%22My+Business+Name%22

    Is there any solution to this? As it is now, WP Statistics is working just as a hit counter and does not provide much useful information as it did the last version. I understand that Google does not pass the query, but I can’t even tell what pages recent visitors are landing on…
