How do i prevent authors from adding categories?

    Please check the roles of the user in wordpress and assign according role to the author.

    what do you mean? If you are reffering to user levels ive tested all and authors, contributors and editors can all add new categories. In short, all users who can post articles are by default able to create new categories which i want only admins to be able to.

    I double checked and discovered that even though the link exists, they cant add categories.
