Downloaded WordPress onto iPower site, and cannot change the home page.

  • Hello all! I am a fairly new WordPress user. I just picked up a new client, and downloaded wordpress onto their iPower hosted site. Everything seems normal, and I can create new pages just fine in any theme I choose. But the home page will not change under any circumstances. I have tried purging cache and trying multiple themes. I cannot figure out what I am doing wrong!

  • Is this link you gave us showing the old site? I see a few static html pages.
    If you installed WordPress in the same root directory you will need to delete the index.html file to see the WordPress install. IF this is not what you are saying please send a link to a page that is part of the site.

    Hi Kim,

    Thanks for the quick reply! I think that IS what I’m saying. The link is showing the old site. Which I would think WOULD be the static html pages. So it sounds like I need to delete the index.html file? Correct?
