Having a look at this and I de-activated the autoptimize plugin and now it works. Can this conflict be fixed as we need the caching plugin enabled. thanks

    Hi,

I have the exact same issue.

I unchecked the option: “By default Autoptimize is also active on your shop’s cart/ checkout, uncheck not to optimize those.”

No caching on cart / checkout is always better…

The PayPal button is now showing on the cart page (which is no good as customer hasn’t entered in shipping details etc.) The paypal button should only show on the checkout page.

But this is not only this caching plugin, it’s about all caching – even any optimisation your host might do as happened with us. So there is bug there that needs to be fixed but of course their support answers once a year.

@ irishhealer: this is a new option. You can disable it.
Please read the changelog before updating the plugin…

I cannot accept payments either. This is a huge issue for us. We have a seasonal business.

Can you not switch back to the previous version? Helped for us but we still need a way to update it.

I suppose that will need to be a manual install? I’m not sure where to find the previous version. I just enabled the PayPal Standard Gateway in hopes it would be a temporary fix… Since it has been 4 days since the problem arose, I was hoping admins would have a resolution for us.

If you have time I’d like to be educated on how to downgrade this plugin in the best way possible. Sorry for the stupid question, but as I said, we’re crazy busy right now and my time is split between managing our website and production.

Sure. Download this from my Dropbox: https://quickforget.com/s/835737dd06171dc7975cef88791fdd55 – it’s the 2.0.4 version. The link will expire in 24h.

Then you can install this one as normal. Not sure if it creates new settings, though. I usually upload these via FTP overwriting the current folder. Hope this helps!

    Hi @irishhealer,

This may be a plugin or theme conflict. Please attempt to disable all plugins except for WooCommerce and braintree, and switch to the default Twenty Seventeen theme. If the problem goes away, enable them one by one to identify the source of the problem.
    ?
If you can install plugins, install Health Check. On the troubleshooting tab, you can click the button to disable all plugins and change the theme for you, while you’re still logged in, without affecting normal visitors to your site

    Cheers!

A fairly standard cut and paste response. I posted 6 days ago that the conflict was with autoptimize which we have had to deactivate. There is still an additional paypal button on the cart page before the checkout page that is causing confusion for customers as they press this before adding shipping amount or details. There was no issue before the latest update to the plugin.

@jarmos could you repost that link to the previous version please?

    Hi,

Agree with this replying thing – it seems there are many people affected by this and all have different sets of plugins, themes and hosting. So it has to be something more universal but nothing’s been solved. Been in touch with their support too but they only said it might be the Braintree account. Sure – when we have the old version active then all is fine with the account but with the new one it isn’t. It really is logical to then guess there is something wrong with the account.

You can download the old version here: https://we.tl/5ArYqOBSue (link’s active for 7 days).

Seems like a roll back to the previous version is in order!!! Would be nice if the Devs would just make it the next “update” to go back to what was working before.

Got an email from Praveen this morning saying that my site was fixed. It certainly seems everything is working properly!

I urge you to open a ticket with them if you are still having issues.

The reason is still unknown, as he reported he did nothing but reactivate the plugin…
